FAQ

Where are your rings made?

All our rings are crafted in Türkiye, by a master silversmith trained in traditional techniques passed down through generations. This is not factory-made jewelry — this is ancestral craft, built to be kept and honored.

What is sterling silver (.925)?

Sterling silver is a high-quality silver alloy made of 92.5% pure silver, blended with 7.5% copper or other metals to enhance strength and durability. This is the most commonly used silver for fine jewelry, as pure silver (.999) is too soft for everyday wear.
Sterling silver gives you the beauty and brightness of real silver, with greater resilience for long-term use. All of our rings are made with sterling silver (.925) — crafted to be worn, kept, and passed down.

How do I choose the right ring size?

We strongly recommend confirming your US ring size using a professional ring sizer or jewelry store. Please avoid using string or paper to measure your finger — it’s often inaccurate, and we want your piece to fit perfectly.

Can I request a custom engraving?

Yes. Many of our rings can be engraved with Qur’anic verses, prayers, names, or other phrases and designs. Please email us at hoodhoodculture@gmail.com to discuss your request before placing your order.

Can I order fully custom rings made from scratch?

Yes. If you’d like a unique piece crafted just for you or a group — a specific stone, design, or inscription — please contact us directly at hoodhoodculture@gmail.com.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We offer flat-rate international shipping at $20 per order. New rings may take up to 1 week for production. Resizing our unique rings may require 1–2 business days. All orders, once shipped, should arrive within 3–4 business days You’ll receive tracking details as soon as your package is on its way.

Is it disrespectful to wear a ring with the Divine Name or Qur'an? What about in the bathroom?

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ had a ring engraved with “Muhammad, Messenger of Allah”, and this tradition is preserved. However, it was his sunnah to remove the ring before entering the toilet area, out of respect. We recommend following this practice with all rings, but especially if your ring bears the Divine Name or any sacred text.

How should I care for my silver ring?

Pure silver will naturally develop a patina over time — this is part of its beauty and story. To maintain your ring’s shine, store it in a dry place, avoid contact with harsh chemicals or perfumes, and gently polish with a soft cloth or silver cleaner when needed. If your ring is engraved, take care not to rub the engraving too aggressively when cleaning.

Can I return or exchange my ring?

Because each piece is made or engraved specifically for you, we do not offer returns or exchanges unless the item arrives damaged or incorrect. Please double-check your ring size and engraving details before ordering. If you have any concerns, reach out to us — we’ll always do our best to help.
